A modern renovation and rebuild of Spokane’s main public library — transforming the existing 117,000 sq ft building into a 21st-century civic hub with updated public-use spaces, metalwork enhancements, and architectural upgrades.
During the 2020-2022 renovation of Spokane Central Library, Krueger Sheet Metal was engaged to supply and install architectural metalwork integral to the building’s refreshed identity. This included metal cladding, custom trim, handrails, metal flashings, and envelope elements designed to align with the updated design while ensuring durability and aesthetic cohesion.
All metal components were fabricated in-house at Krueger’s Spokane Valley facility, leveraging decades of experience, advanced equipment, and rigorous quality-control protocols. Every panel, seam, and finishing detail was engineered to precise tolerances — giving the renovated library a clean, modern, and long-lasting metalwork finish.
On-site installation was coordinated carefully with the general contractor and the library’s construction team to integrate metalwork seamlessly with architectural, glazing, and structural systems. The result: a high-performance public facility whose metalwork details — from railings to exterior cladding — stand up to heavy public usage and regional climate conditions.
